Welcome to

Groundswell

Groundswell is an emergent learning space that uplifts the voices of women, indigenous community activists, and youth to craft and deliver transformational programs and workshops. Groundswell closes the gap between deep inner work and bold outer action, knowing these are not separate. Our courses are designed to cultivate your capacity for distinctive activism in all its forms by addressing internal blockages to action as well as providing project development support for regenerative climate action projects. Whether humble and quiet, or center stage, local, or global; all are needed. Groundswell invites you to into your journey from potential to reality on behalf of our living earth.

About Groundswell Courses

Groundswell courses exhibit cultural sensitivity, inclusivity, humility, and the valuing of diverse perspectives and voices in the margins.

We model non-hierarchical leadership by offering courses that dismantle top-down, authoritative models and support the emergence of equitable and empowering learning spaces that cultivate communal wisdom. This is reflected in the design and implementation of Groundswell courses.

We provide courses that contribute to aspirationally decolonial methods of change in a climate changing world. Course content supports and centers on human potential, women’s leadership, indigenous and traditional wisdom, health and healing, and systems of othering.

We believe learning to take direction from our kinship with the earth and the more-than-human world is essential. This aspiration is incorporated into our course content and implementation.

Inner Climate Transformation

Many people in industrialized cultures are steeped in an implicit sense of separation from the earth, one another, and the beating heart of their deepest calling to respond to the climate crisis. People from all cultural backgrounds and ages feel this deeply, particularly if they have a passion to make a difference. Their personal and collective histories often present obstacles to stepping into embodied leadership that stems from a deep love of the earth, despite their longing for just that.

Groundswell offers faculty skilled in restoring reciprocal relationship with our living earth, the inner quest for purpose, healing trauma in community, and maximizing individual and community capacity and engagement.

Outer Climate Activism

Groundswell offers consultation and guidance to sort the wheat from the chaff of visionary concepts, arouse concise articulation to cross communication barriers, and to develop language to reach funders and supporters. Through attuned partnerships, healthy brainstorming, and organizational development Groundswell transforms visionaries into the social entrepreneurs of the future.

Consultants for this branch of Groundswell, like consultant Connie Meyer, have experience in honing visionary projects and readily sculpting them for manifestation.

Together, we enter the global construction site that contains the building blocks for our new civilization; the more beautiful world our hearts know is possible to use the language of one of Groundswell’s advisers, Charles Eisenstein. Visit our Walking The Land page to explore examples of outer climate activism that CCC currently supports. We welcome your project mentorship and development inquiries.
