This event is co-sponsored by The TARA Approach and CCC’s Groundswell College
Facilitated by Dr. Stephanie Mines with the assistance of Peter Heard, TARA Advanced Practitioner and Teacher. Dr. Stephanie Mines developed this model in response to her understanding of the health consequences of climate change. She is the author of five books on the treatment of trauma and shock. Her award-winning book We Are All in Shock: Energy Healing for Traumatic Times has just been reissued in a new, updated edition with new resources for this time. Dr. Mines is part of the Planetary Health Lab of the University of Edinburgh.
In the Sustainable Health model, participants have the opportunity to explore the role of culture, intergenerational, epigenetic and environmental influences on the human nervous system.
We heighten awareness using evolved assessment and observational skills to see beyond symptoms and diagnoses. This training includes exercises to cultivate these abilities. We advocate for an individual rather than a disease or a condition being in the center of the healing dynamic. Language for such advocacy is explored and practiced during the course.
The Sustainable Health process is supervised by knowledgeable providers who function rather like an orchestra conductor or musical director.
During this three-day program we will implement a Free to Heal process. Participants represent the community context for the dynamic. Resources for interventions are provided in advance and during the course. This includes (but is not limited to):
A model for a Sustainable Health process;
Interventions for optimizing nervous system equanimity and polyvagal tone;
Language delivery options;
Personal guidance and supervision;
Orientation to assure cultural sensitivity; and
Structural templates for building community and safety.
Your payment secures your registration. Materials, online access links, and more information about the course will be sent shortly before the course begins.
